Lost Oak Family Brands is Blogging!

Lost Oak Family Brands is branching into the world of...  blogging!  Hang on tight!  We are moving into the current times!

We will be featuring segments for many walks of life:

  • Lost Oak Uncorked (wines)
  • Lost Oak Indulged (food)
  • Lost Oak Unplugged (local music)
  • Lost Oak Fit (health & fitness)
  • Lost Oak Connect: (in the local community lending a helping hand)

We will use this first blog to introduce ourselves.  Here is the short version.

We began as Lost Oak Winery...  A vision of our President Gene Estes who began the art of fine wine making in 1963 in a garage from Concord grape juice... It exploded.

After years of perfecting his art, he and his amazing long-time winemaker Jim Evans are now the proud maker of delicious multi-award-winning wines here at Lost Oak Winery..that consistently are at the top year after year!

Not only does Lost Oak have amazing wines, but it has beautiful landscapes, cultivated vineyards and sits on Village Creek.  We are home to wine tastings, tours, picnics, concerts, weddings, and everything in between.

As we've grown, we branched out and formed a partnership with Brennan Vineyards and McPherson Cellars to form 4.0 Cellars located in the beautiful Hill Country of Fredericksburg, Texas. Offering an ideal and comfortable setting where you can taste, learn and discuss as much or as little as you desire, and treat yourself to a variety of Texas wines.

Vintage Lane Wines was later born from the partnership between Lost Oak Winery and Lane Boots.  The two young Texas companies joined to make great wine with super cool labels!

With each wine named after the boot, the young company is already winning wine awards with the Dawson Red.  Both the wines and the boots are available at retailers around the country and online.

Keeping in the Family business, Roxanne Myers is Lost Oak Winery, Vintage Lane Wines and Ethaka Travel's General Manager.  Ethaka Travel entered into the Family Brands with Roxanne and her husband Eduar's passion for travel.  Having lived abroad, both in Europe and South America for many years, Roxanne is well-versed in diverse cultures.  Eduar is from Columbia, lived in Ecuador and has traveled throughout South America.   Eduar is Ethaka Travel's personal tour guide on their adventures.

There's the quick version of who we are and where we come from.
Where we are going....  That's the adventure!
